PANEL FOR BRITTEN-NORMAN BN2A MKIII TRISLANDER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for downloading this panel for the Britten Norman Trislander. It has been designed by me specifically for use with my BN2A Mk3 Trislander for FS2002. G-JOEY and the rest of the Aurigny Air Services fleet (as well as other Trislanders operated worldwide) can be downloaded from SurClaro or, more quickly, from the links at my website at;

http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~rogguy/index.html

Real time aviation weather, Satpics, NOTAMS etc can be downloaded from my aviation page at

http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~rogguy/aviation.html

Please feel free to E mail me at 'rogguy@globalnet.co.uk' with your comments and suggestions about this panel and the aircraft.

FS2002 KNOWN BUGS

FS2002 contains some bugs discovered whilst making this aircraft and panel. Some fixes are shown below.

BRAKE - PARKING BRAKE MESSAGE

If you want to get rid of the irritating 'brakes' and 'parking brake' messages from your screen when you apply the brakes and parking brake (This tends to cover the switches at the bottom of the Trislander panel). Do the following.

Go to the 'Fs2002.cfg' file (NOT.... the Fs2000.cfg file!). This is found in the main FS2002 folder.

(BE SURE YOU COPY THE ORIGINAL FILE TO ANOTHER LOCATION BEFORE YOU DO THIS!)

Open up the original file (using NOTEPAD) and scroll down to;

[SIM]
SYSCLOCK=1

then write in the following;

show_brake_message=0

You should end up with this;

[SIM]
SYSCLOCK=1
show_brake_message=0

That's it. Just save the file and re-boot your FS2002. The messages will be gone. The status of the parking brake is shown by the 'PARK BRAKE' lamp on the panel. REMEMBER - this will apply to all the other aircraft in your simulator - even those which don't have a park brake gauge.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT - Thanks are due to John Consterdine and Lars for their helpful FS2002 tips page at http://flightsimvetclub.tripod.com/fs2002_tips.htm from where this tip was obtained. There are lots more helpful tips at this site so it's worth a look.
